With that she is now the first ever woman to appear on the iconic magazine wearing a  hijab.

The piece was lengthy yet totally inspiring

The piece highlights the journalist’s personality, intelligence and ambition.

Noor’s goal is to be the first hijab-wearing new anchor.

Check out her news videos here, you can definitely see she’s got talent when it comes to telling stories.

In the piece, she touches on the subject of being a muslim woman.

Noor says:

“To be honest, I think being a hijabi Muslim woman, helped me gain that [personal] trust. I know what it’s like to have the narrative of our community be skewed and exploited in the media. I was like, ‘Hey, I know what it’s like to be misrepresented in the media. I won’t do that to you. I want to tell your story because it’s important and deserves justice.’”

Tagouri wants girls to feel empowered and for them to realize “they can do anything they want without having to sacrifice who they are as a person.”
