The other day Ms. Khloe Kardashian was accused of copying design work (see here) and now, Ms. Kylie Jenner is being accused of the very same thing. The only difference here, this designer has the receipts to PROVE it.
So, on Thursday, Kenner dropped her new camo collection, which is being sold on KylieJennerShop.com.
The creative director at Plugged, Tizita Balemlay, is claiming that the Jenner team asked for a package of her designs which included swimwear.
Plugged sent over.
Balemlay posted the alleged email exchange between the two teams:
The designer also took it to Instagram, posting side-by-side images of Kylie’s designs and hers.
“I am the influence *drops mic. Copy & Paste down to the shoes I used on my models 😂😭.”
In the second Instagram post, the designer notes that while she did not invent camo, she did admit to this:
“but I sure as hell brought it back to life and pushed the two-piece camo movement. I can’t remember one brand that sold matching camo two-pieces that weren’t generic tees with cargo for ladies before my brand, unless it was custom…I started my brand with pennies funny how someone can just take a whole movement bc of how much money and power they have.”
