So you just landed an interview and now you need to figure out what you’re going to wear.
When putting together an outfit, it’s super important to dress for the role. After all, first impressions are lasting impressions, right?
It’s also important to keeping your interview outfit appropriate and classy.
So with that, here is what you should NEVER wear to an interview:
Short Skirts and Dresses
This one should be obvious. But if you’re still second guessing whether or not if you can wear a specific skirt or dress, do the sit test. If your skirt/dress exposes way too much leg when sitting, it’s a total no-go.
Leggings are meant for working out, running errands or lounging, so there is no way they should make it into an interview.
Even if the person you are interviewing says “we’re business casual,” that doesn’t mean you should dress business casual the day of your interview. You want people to know you are taking the opportunity to interview, very seriously, so one way of doing that, it by dressing the part.
Keep it simple, you don’t need to cause distractions. All the focus should be on you.
