Why did you start blogging? And what currently drives you to keep up with it?
Honestly I started blogging out of boredom.
Five years ago when we moved to a new state in U.S., I hardly knew anyone there. I didn’t know how to drive so I was basically stuck at home and with plenty of free time.
I was was constantly browsing the web and that’s when I discovered some fashion blogs and thought I could do this too!
So that’s how it all started.
My love for fashion is the obvious driving force but also the way my blog is growing everyday and bringing new opportunities is another reason.
I also love how I can connect with so many people all around the world and inspire so many specially all the moms that helps me to keep up with it.
What would you consider your personal style to be and what influences your style?
My personal style is definitely feminine, chic and little edgy. My mood influences my style heavily.
Are there any fashion labels you love?
So many of them!
Michael Kors, Zara, J. Crew, H&M, and Forever 21 are a few of my favorite places to shop.
But I can shop from anywhere and everywhere.
What beauty products do you live by?
I love makeup! I keep buying and trying new makeup items and fortunately for me since I have a YouTube channel where I post makeup tutorials.
I’m constantly trying new makeup products so my favorites keep on changing. But if I have to choose one product that I live by it would be my favorite red matte lipstick.
What bloggers do you follow and why?
I follow so many of them because honestly I adore them all.
Taking a few name will be unfair all of them are such inspirations.
Do you blog full time?
Currently not. Thankfully my husband is supportive enough for me to take it more as a passion.
He supports me in every possible way.
I also create YouTube videos, so I juggle between them.
In addition to creating content, I am also a full time mommy to two kids and preparing to go back to college this fall. So I have a lot going on. But I’m really happy the way things are going and where I am with this blogging stuff and wouldn’t change a thing.
Who takes your photos?
Mostly my husband.
But I also work with many local photographers, its always fun to collaborate with such talented people.
What is your favorite part about blogging? And what’s the worst part about it?
My favorite part of blogging is I get to do what I love.
Getting dressed, styling, getting clicked is my job how fun is that.
Also I love how blogging brought so many amazing opportunities my way.
And the worst part of blogging is the amount of time and effort you need to put into it. I am constantly on my phone or laptop working on one thing or the other but then that is how it works.
What do you love most about your blog?
I love how I can connect with so many people and it feels amazing to know how I inspire and motivate so many other women, especially mommies.
I am basically from India, where once you are a mom, fashion is last thing on your list.
Mommies there hardly give time to themselves, so when moms from my country message me and let me know how I inspire them and motivate them to prioritize themselves too, it makes my day.
What piece of advice would you give to anyone starting their own blog?
Anyone thinking to start a blog should definitely start it about stuff they are passionate about.
It’s gonna be a lot of work but then again if you are blogging about something you are passionate about you will enjoy it.
What are your fashion blog goals for 2017?
I have so many but I am taking one step at a time.
I’m currently working on some projects, which I hope works perfectly. And if they do, I just can’t wait to share them with you all. 🙂
