When it comes to our periods, the one thing all us women could probably agree on is:
- we could all do without the cramps
- the inevitable leakage
- the stains
- and let’s not forget about the bloating
And while some forms of birth control can prevent you from having your period altogether, it’s probably not something every woman wants.
But is it safe to say that shorter periods are something we could all rule in favor of?
Well, according to gynecologist Dee Fenner, MD, director of gynecology at the University of Michigan, you could potentially shorten your period by just orgasming more.
You read that right.
In an interview with Metro UK, Fenner says:
“Although no studies have been done on this, it’s likely that menstrual blood in the uterus is squeezed out during orgasm.”
What this basically means is that when you have an orgasm, your uterus contracts. And when your uterus contracts, this could theoretically help your uterine lining shed faster.
And what does that mean?
A potentially shorter period for you. 🙂
