I've always wanted to be the modern-day Carrie Bradshaw :)…
Louis Vuitton has chosen Emma Stone to be a new brand ambassador for the luxury fashion house.
And with the new deal in place, the actress is set to visit the city on a regular basis to:
- attend fashion shows
- shoot ad campaigns
- as well as brainstorm with artistic director, Nicolas Ghesquière, on custom looks for future red-carpet appearances.
And while in Paris for a shoot, Stone spoke with W magazine about what it’s like being the new face of the mega-brand.
Stone talks about her very first trip to the French capital at the age of 12, and notes:
“I remember being so amazed, like, ‘We’re in Paaaris!’ Well, now we’re staying at the Ritz and it’s literally like being in Pretty Woman.”
Stone is currently ranked as the highest-paid actress in the world and expressed resistance when it came to joining a fashion house.
Stones that it had to be the right partner, under the right circumstances.
With that, W Magazine notes that it took Louis Vuitton just about a year to complete the deal with the actress.
And Ghesquière mentions his strong desire to bring Stone on board for quite some time now:
“The first name I mentioned was Emma’s, but it takes time to set up a dialogue.”
He also tells Stone during the interview:
“What I love about you, Emma, is your ability to balance. You have this femininity and, at the same time, a boyish side that’s supercool and inspiring.”
Stone also mentions that her stylist, Petra Flannery, played a major role when it came to closing the deal as Flannery has handled all of Stone’s special occasion looks, since 2007.
