Planning A Beach Wedding? Here Are The Ultimate Dos and Don’ts of Beach Weddings

Planning A Beach Wedding_ Here Are The Ultimate Dos and Don'ts of Beach Weddings

Beach weddings sound like something out of a fairytale. Right? What could be more perfect than presenting your vows to the love of your life on a beautiful sunny day? But while a perfect beach wedding sounds great, it can be hard to perfect.

That said here’s a list of some do’s and don’ts to keep in mind when your beach wedding occurs:

Use More Time

You need a lot of time to make sure that everything is perfect.

That said, allocate some extra time for all the preparations that you need and give yourself as much time as you can to sort out all the details. And if you can, make a schedule. And DO NOT leave everything for the last minute.

Ask For Help

Even though you want this wedding to be just like you imagined, one thing is for sure – you can’t do everything by yourself. Help will always be needed and will speed up the process. Usually, there will be event coordinators to help you, but if you chose to do it alone, then asking for backup is a must.

Don’t Wear Heels

The temptation to wear your high, fancy heels may be high, but you should refrain from wearing them. Why? Because you wouldn’t be able to walk with them on the sand. You will sink.

You should wear other types of shoes, such as espadrilles, flat-sole sandals or wedges. In some cases, it is possible to be barefooted on the beach, but if you are marrying in an area where the weather is hot and will warm the sand, you need footwear for protection.

Find A Suitable Dress

Just like with shoes, not all dresses are suitable to wear for a beach wedding. A ballgown is certainly to be avoided, especially if you want to walk freely on the beach. A-line dresses may also not be the best as they tend to blow all over. So, when you look for wedding dresses for the beach, make sure to pick something that works with the environment you’re in. Pronovias wedding dresses may have just what you’re looking for.

Don’t Make It Too Long

Since beaches are noisy and there’s a lot of heat, you don’t want to spend an eternity there or to keep your guests waiting either. This is why you need to keep the wedding ceremony short by limiting the number of performances and readings.

Don’t Forget The Laws

Depending on where your wedding will be, you need to know the city laws before the wedding. Don’t forget to do this, or you may end up having problems. Some cities need permits and, not to mention; other cities require you to book your location at least a month before the wedding.

Don’t Overbook Your Guests

Your guests want to enjoy the wedding, too. This is why you shouldn’t overbook them. They will want some downtime at the beach too, so don’t forget to give it to them.

Final Thoughts

A beach wedding has to be perfect. If you consider these dos and don’ts, you will know how to do everything right.
