Kim Kardashian Faces $100 Million Lawsuit Over LuMee Phone Cases

UPDATE: TMZ provided a follow up update on this story in which a rep for Kim and the Kardashians released a statement:

“The patent lawsuit filed by Snap Light has no merit and is just another attempted shakedown. Kim has done absolutely nothing wrong.”

The LuMee phone case is more than naturally fitting for Kim Kardashian as it combines two of her strongest interests:

  1. taking selfies and
  2.  innovating in the mobile tech world.

For those who don’t know much about the LuMee innovation, it’s pretty unique as it marries a ring light and a phone case.

But according to Hooshmand Harooni, in 2013, he received a patent for a “integrated lighting accessory and case for a mobile phone device”, which he licensed to a company called Snap Light.

Can you see where this is going?

And now TMZ is reporting that Harooni and Snap Light are now suing Kimisaprincess, Inc. for a whopping $100 million.
